Last thirty years spent in Scotland, with twenty of these being in the Melrose Motor Museum. Now totally restored from the ground up.

Engine Stripped and rebuilt with head converted to ‘lead free’ and including new rocker shaft, new push-rods, new valves and springs, new valve guides and new head gasket. Block stripped and professionally cleaned. Rebored to +30 ‘thou with new pistons and rings. New big end and main bearing shells. Crank checked for wear and cracks. New ring gear on flywheel. New radiator with new hoses and clips. New thermostat and housing.

Back Axle - Diff and pinion overhauled by Peter Edney. New wheel bearings, new lock nuts incorporating modern seals.
Exhaust - New exhaust system.
Carburettors- Completely rebuilt by Burlen. All new operating cables. New air cleaner assembly.
Chassis - Completely stripped, blasted, repaired, checked for true and powder coated. Front axle checked for true and powder coated.
Suspension - All springs checked for wear, dismantled, blasted and rebuilt. All dampers completely overhauled by VSCC of Croydon.
Wheels - Sandblasted and poder coated in silver.
Fuel - New fuel tank and sender unit. New fuel pipes.
Body - New Hutson ash frame skinned in sheet steel and professionally painted in black by K. Pointing.
Upholstery - New green leather supplied by MOSS.
Steering - New VW steering column and box. New rose jointed steering rods. (Original steering box and rods available).
Instrumentation - All instruments overhauled.
Wiring Loom - New, braided as original.
Weather Equipment - New hood and sidescreens in tan (as original). New tonneau cover.

- Chassis - Restored. New front and rear springs and trunnions and bronze sliders and gaiters.
- Brakes - Wheel cylinders repaired. New Master fitted. New linings all round. Silicone fluid used.
- Wheels - Five restored wheels plus five originals. Brand new original wheel spinners obtained.
- Instruments - Both main instruments restored. Speedo re-calibrated for new High Ratio back axle cluster. New clock obtained and fitted.
- Seats - Completely rebuilt and upholstered by Brian Purves.
- Engine - Total rebuild by George Edney. XPAG specialist. Bored to 100 thou. O/S. Balanced Con. rods and pistons. Crane cam. Head gasflowed and lead free. Improved cam followers. Rear oil seal conversion. New starter motor plus old working.
- Gearbox - Rebuilt.
- Back Axle - Diff. unit rebuilt to high ratio by Roger Furneaux T type specialist and technical register for T register.
- Radiator - rebuilt by SERK.
- New Body Tub and doors fitted.
- Original carburettor manifold obtained and also original oil bath air filter. Carbs un-restored.
- New wiring loom. (Not fitted)
- Cellulose Paint (Ruby Red) and thinners if required.

Complete very original car bought by me in 1973 as part restored car. Original engine with matching numbers. Dismantled again in 1975 for more comprehensive but still unfinished restoration.

New wood frame with alloy panelling by Bevan. Major steel components blasted and stoved or synthetic coated. Most parts rechromed (Murrivan). Instruments overhauled. Good rust free wings, tank and centre laced wheels. Seats retrimmed in vinyl leathercloth. Engine and gearbox untouched. Many new parts inc. wiring loom, halfshafts, springs, pistons, wheel and diff bearings, and also many used spares.

1954 MG TF. Original UK Home Market car, one of the 813 cars produced for the UK market with 1250 engine. With BMI Heritage Trust Certificate and matching original numbers. Red coachwork with dark red leather, black hood and side screens. Black full and half tonneaux. Large history file showing full restoration to the highest standard in 1987, using original not reproduction parts, well documented in Octagon bulletins (original bulletins in history file) Every MOT from 1985 to date.
